Pamela M. Cooney

 

Pamela Cooney, MBA, is Director of Operations for World Computer Exchange.  She is responsible for financial operations and grants and directs WCE staff and volunteers in WCE’s offices in 25 cities in gathering computers, sister-schools, volunteers, press, and funds. She is also the Clerk of the organization. She served on the Board of Directors of World Computer Exchange from 2000 to 2008.

She was one of the two co-founders of South Shore Charter School in 1994 where she managed grants and reports until she joined WCE in 2002.  She was Planning Director for three City of Boston Departments where she worked for nine years. She was Vice President of Dovetail Consulting for fifteen years providing evaluation and program development services to nonprofits and municipal agencies. 

She has held elected political office in her town, was a Boston precinct captain, and has served on several non-profit Boards.   She is on the Board of the W. Seavey Joyce, S. J. Community Service Award at Boston College.  She is a member of the education jury for the Stockholm Challenge. 

She earned her MBA in public administration from Boston University in 1987 and her BA in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. She is a parent of two sons.
