Agenda For 45th Board Meeting:  Sunday 14th of September at Noon (Boston-time)

    • Draft MISSION:  To reduce the digital divide for youth in developing countries; to build (USE?) a (OUR?) global network of partnerships that (TO?) enhance communities in these countries; and to promote the reuse of computer equipment and its ultimate disposal in an environmentally responsible manner.

Next meeting dates:  Noon (Boston-time) Sundays, December 7th (Annual Meeting), February 8th and April 12th.

Treasurer's Report:  Status of FY'08 audit, volunteer tracking, and year-to-date FY'09 financial report against Board-approved budget (will be sent to Board by the 7th of September.  (FY'09 WCE budget including volunteer in-kind detail)

9th Annual Meeting Preparation:  By-Law Amendments (New Mission Language and Advisory Board instead of Business Council), Nominees for Council,  and Nominees for Board.  Discuss Board Officers.

New Strategic Ally:  International Executive Service Corps and their Geekcorps project. (Proposed MOU)

Proposed Partners: Approval of 2nd shipment to Good Hope Program (Plan) in Tanzania. (Documents).  Approval of 12 new implementation plans, Partners and shipments.

 

CAMEROON (1):  Reference Communication and Training Centre Cameroon, (ReCoTC), (in Buea), www.recotc.synthasite.com; is requesting 20 laptops to be shipped via courier to help connect youth in their existing training center and additional ones in the towns of Mamfe, Muyuka, Kumba, Tiko, and Tombel in the south west province of Cameroon.
