-
Coordinate marketing for public computer donation events, eCorps recruitment, volunteer recruitment, speakers bureau, and press releases for shipments
-
Pick-up, inventory, test and pack donated used computers
-
Recruit eCorps tech volunteers from local universities and community and organize Speakers Bureau and work with local universities and high schools on community service, pairings, interns
-
Recruit, organize and nurture volunteers to help with Chapter & field work including for eWaste, eCorps, and capacity building

Chapter News
Two of our WCE Boston volunteers were part of eCorps 2009 tech volunteers who went in July to help train and network computers in Tanzania and Kenya. We have information about these two trips - go to the tab for "Trips" across the top of our website.
Volunteers Thanked: On January 16th, 2010, WCE Boston thanked volunteers who have been frequent helpers of WCE. Tim Anderson and Pam Cooney thanked Sumona Dey for her two years of full time help in the role as WCE Recruitment and Placement Manager. She was presented with a cake and a framed certificate from the National Community Service Commision and a letter signed by President Obama. Bryan Barton also received a Presidential citation for his work as WCE Boston Coordinator, longtime Boston Cares lead volunteer, eCorps Nigeria and eCorps Kenya tech volunteer. Also receiving WCE certificates were Evan Davis-Drennan, Lou Stein (also of Boston Cares) and Isaiah Berson. (Sumona kindly shared her cake!)
