Team information

Volunteer teams will assist with training the trainers in upgrading, networking, and trouble-shooting in schools that have received computers from WCE.  They will also show the schools how to use the Internet to improve learning.

The team will work with several WCE Partner organizations in different parts of the country.  Each group will have recently received computers from WCE.  This was the first shipment by WCE to the Dominican Republic. Another shipment is expected to be sent in a few months.

It will be helful if most of the volunteers are somewhat conversant in Spanish.

The brief orientation in Santo Domingo will include tourism and some conversations on issues about the Dominican Republic.  After the couple of days of rest and orientation in Santo Domingo, the volunteers will  travelto different villages to work for 8 days. If feasible, this team will help to develop a learning center for the University of the People.
