Steven Cayford of the WCE Minneapolis Team is leading the WCE eCorps tech team of volunteers to Kaduna, Nigeria in August of 2008.
WCE Minneapolis has shipped a 20-foot container of 220 computer sets to India. Special thanks to John Meier.
Volunteering
We need volunteers from Minneapolis to help to accomplish the following five tasks:
- Pick-up, inventory, test and pack donated used computers
- Coordinate public computer donation events, speakers bureau and press releases
- Recruit participation of local universities and high schools (for community service, pairings, interns and eCorps trips)
- Raise Sponsorship funds to help WCE Partners with the last 1/3 of the sourcing and shipping costs (this includes Rotary)
- Recruit volunteers to help with Chapter & field work or to be an eCorps tech volunteer or staff a youth Internet camp
