We are always looking for people with vans to carry computers on their way to DC.

Acquiring computer donations in Oak Island/Wilmington from individuals and companies.
Recruiting adults with good technology skills from Oak Island/Wilmington to help WCE partners in developing countries to develop an implementation plan for the use of used computers in their local schools.
Recruiting K-12 teachers in Oak Island/Wilmington to act as sister-teachers to teachers in developing countries that are new to technology.
Recruiting community service programs in Oak Island/Wilmington high schools and universities to help with our local activities and to staff online help desks for a group of schools in a developing country that are new to technology.
Recruiting a small team of volunteer "Internet Ambassadors" from Oak Island/Wilmington high schools and universities who are willing to visit and train local youth about technology and the Internet in exchange for learning about local history and culture.

We need volunteers from Oak Island/Wilmington to help to accomplish the following five tasks (Roles Within WCE Offices):

Computer Donations Team
Inventory, Test, and Pack the Donated Computers
Coordinate public computer donation events and related marketing
Recruit participation of local universities and high schools
Raise sponsorship funds to help WCE Partners with the last 1/3 of the sourcing and shipping costs

WCE also needs volunteers to provide online support to WCE partners in developing countries in the following three roles (Online Volunteer Roles)
