In Zambia with computers from WCE

World Computer Exchange is North America's leading nonprofit provider of high-quality refurbished desktop computers and peripherals available at the lowest cost possible to developing countries.

To keep shipping costs low, we use containers that hold either 200 or 400 desktop computers. If that is more than a single Partner needs, we can sometimes assemble a shared container in which several Partners from the same country receive as few as 20 computers each. All equipment provided through WCE is intended for public placement rather than for use by individuals, and it is not to be resold.

WCE know that computers alone are enough. Our computers can be pre-loaded with relevant content in one of four languages as well as off-line digital content - not dependent on being connected.

Read the story about how Walgreens helped make this happen. And there are a wide variety of additional services and programs that our partner organisation can choose from.

WCE offers a 5% discount for many of our computers and content packages when a letter of commitment is provided from iEARN, Peace Corps Volunteers or a Rotary Club.
