World Computer Exchange has shipped five times to World Bank projects in Sri Lanka, Gujarat State in India (twice), and to Ecuador (twice).

Ecuador: E.dúcate working with infoDEV funding is using 70 Pentium IIs to connect and train 14 local schools with 7,000 students. India (Gujarat State): Education Support Organisation (aka Development Research Network). www.gyanshala.org They have received World Bank grant to develop local content and test it with 211 computers in 35 local centres with 3,700 students. The WCE Board of Directors voted on 7 September 2003 to approve. (Implementation Plan) as approved by World Bank [lost by WCE] Shipment was shared with REaD Foundation and NEED in Uttar Pradesh - with support from Asha. Contact: Pankaj Jain. Sri Lanka: Gemidiriya Foundation - an autonomous body in the Ministry of Samrudhi and Poverty Alleviation of the Government of Sri Lanka and the newly forming Polonnaruwa Federation of rural villages of the North-Central Province working under a World Bank grant request Pentium II computers to connect youth in rural villages.
